Ballincollig Flood Update, Road Closures.

Road Closures.- 22 November 2009

Residents in Ballincollig who travel to work and have need to cross both the Inniscarra and Carrigrohane Bridges are advised that due to damage on the approach to these bridges caused by flooding, they will remain closed to traffic for at least six weeks as repairs and assessments are undertaken by Council engineers and workmen. Motorist wishing to enter or leave Ballincollig are advised to seek alternative routes. Unfortunately the nearest bridges to Ballincollig spanning the River Lee are The Rooves Bridge near Coachford a distance of eighteen miles from Ballincollig and the Wellington Bridge in the City.
