Tuesday 24th November 2009Heading into Christmas, we know we’re going to be faced with culinary challenges where the old stalwart shepherd’s pie or offerings from the local take-aways (aka cheating) won’t cut the mustard when dishing up grub to our guests.
In desperation, we lurch towards that impressive array of recipe books, bought with best intentions, and blow the dust and cobwebs off them. However, we’re beaten back by endless lists of ingredients and instructions that seem written in a foreign language.
Fear not! O’ Crualoai, in conjunction with Ballincollig RFC, is hosting a cookery demonstration in Oriel House Hotel on Tuesday 24th Nov, starting at 7:30pm. It’s the answer to our culinary prayers.
Pop along. Watch as the dishes are created before your eyes. Even better, taste the samples. Leave armed with the recipes and a decent idea of how to cook them. Enjoy a lively evening out.
Tickets are just €10 each and are available from the bar at the Rugby Club, from O’Crualaoi, from club members or at the door. This timely evening is in aid of the Ballincollig Rugby Club Development Fund. It is sponsored and demonstrated by O’Crualaoi Butchers.
